When Jeremy Renner was quizzed about whether he regrets not signing the film, Renner says he does not feel bad about not doing the film. It is not about whether the film was good or bad, it is just that he couldn't see himself playing that character in the film.

If things had turned out any differently, Avengers: Endgame star Jeremy Renner would have essayed the character of Hellboy with those red horns in Guillermo del Toro's original films. Yes, you heard it right. Before Ron Perlman was brought on board in this comic book adaptation, Jeremy Renner was being considered for this role with the Mexican director. His films are full of fantasy which are deep and go dark. Ron Perlman is the only actor we can think of who could wield that dangerous stone fist.

While talking to actor Justin Long on his podcast, Life is Short, Jeremy Renner said he declined the role in spite of a hefty amount being offered to him as fees for this role in Hellboy. Jeremy further added that when he read the script, he could not understand how he could fit in, as he just could not relate to the character in Hellboy that was being offered to him. When Jeremy Renner was quizzed about whether he regrets not signing the film, Renner says he does not feel bad about not doing the film. It is not about whether the film was good or bad, it is just that he couldn't see himself playing that character in the film. Jeremy Renner also adds that he was in a way happy that he did not do the film, irrespective of how much money the film made at the box office.

The fans are more than happy about the choices that Jeremy Renner has made in his film career so far, as one of his decisions include getting on board for the Avengers: Endgame film which turned out to be a massive blockbuster at the worldwide box office. The fans of MCU loved every bit of his character of Hawkeye.
