Avengers: Endgame is less than ten days away from release and there has been much debate about the runtime of the highly-anticipated film. With just a little over three hours, Endgame is one of the longest films ever made in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While many fans are worried about sitting for too long, the Russo Brothers have time and again reiterated that the film's length needs to do justice to all characters considering it is a culmination of 11 years.

Now, the film's writers have also defended the film's runtime. In a new interview with Vulture, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely defended the film's long runtime as being a "lean" three hours. Speaking about it, McFeely said, "It's exactly as long as it needs to be. Any shorter and it would have felt like we weren't honoring all the threads and franchises that are feeding into this climax. Twenty-two movies in, not only has the movie earned its length, but people deserve a movie of that substance. I swear to God, it sounds like a paradox to say this, but it's a lean three hours!"

Well, considering this will be the culmination of 21 films over the course of 11 years, we honestly do not think three hours is a lot to sit through. Also, because Indian audiences largely have been exposed to the three-hour runtime since ages. How are you gearing up for the most epic film of the year? Let us know in the comments below.
