One of the most exciting films to look forward in the coming years has to be Matt Reeves' directorial, The Batman. As Ben Affleck has stepped down from the role of Batman, the torch has now been passed on to Robert Pattinson, who millions know as Edward Cullen from the Twilight franchise (2008-2012). However, since 2012, Robert has been more focused on indie films rather than big-ticket movies, hence, it came as a surprise to many when the casting announcement for Batman was finally made!

Given that Robert has already been thrust back into the spotlight, the 33-year-old actor shared in a recent interview on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist that he wishes his Twilight fame is not mimicked again with The Batman. "There's a part of me that just thinks it's impossible to be what happened with Twilight because it was so sudden.I'm hoping it won't be people hanging out outside my place. I just think I'm kind of boring and old now," Pattinson quipped.

He will. But instead of screaming preteen girls, it'll be screaming, overweight middle-aged men.

He won't have to worry about that! He's not the one we want as the Bat! We were hoping for someone better....

Ben Affleck is the best for role of Batman.
