With Avengers: Endgame drawing curtains on the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3, all eyes are set on MCU phase 4. Although not many details are known about Marvel Studios' future plans, it was confirmed that Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2 and Black Widow movies are in the making. The last time King T'Challa stepped out solo, he fought and killed Erik 'Killmonger' Stevens in Wakanda. But a new leak suggests that wasn't the end to Michael B Jordan's character in the franchise.

A new leak has fans believing that the Killmonger is set to return for Black Panther 2. No, the character is not returning from the dead (he's not Loki) but he will appear in the movie through the spiritual plane. According to leak shared by 4Chan, Killmonger will make a return via the spiritual plane. The site also claims that Queen Divine Justice will also appear in the movie.

Marvel fans were introduced to the spiritual plane in Black Panther, released in 2018. The movie showed the alternate paradigm where T'Challa met and spoke to his late father. Given that the close act of Black Panther left fans speculating that Killmonger had a son, it wouldn't be surprising to see the son visiting his father in the spiritual plane to understand what happened to the character.

That's not all revealed. The leak also claims to reveal the theme of the movie. As per the leak, Black Panther 2 will be "political." It is not surprising given that the first Black Panther too had several political messages embraced in it.

Fans will have to wait and watch how Black Panther incorporates the political tone and which new villain would pose a threat to Wakanda. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates from MCU.
