Women in Hollywood; what a beautiful concept! Over the years, we have seen a paradigm shift in how female characters are treated in the world of movies. While before women characters would be the object of affection for the big, bad guy, now, we have seen a transformation in how these characters are dealt with, storyline-wise. What we are getting in return are strong, central and badass female characters who we can totally get behind and even get inspiration from.

Whether it be female MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) superheroes like Captain Marvel and Black Widow who showed us that women run the world or even fierce characters like Maleficent, who may not be truly honest at heart but are badass, nonetheless. We also see returning heroes like Sarah Conner as Linda Hamilton coming back to the Terminator franchise. On the other hand, we also have this week's release, Ready or Not, which features a badass titular character who is a woman. You can't help but root for Samara Weaving's character Grace Le Domas to actually win the deadly game of hide and seek against her vicious in-laws.

Black Widow (Avengers: Endgame)

Black Widow was always a badass and to see her give up everything to save humanity against Thanos was a heroic act, worthy of applause. It comes as no surprise that Natasha Romanoff will finally be getting her due with a standalone movie, Black Widow.

Maleficent (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil)

Angelina Jolie added fifty shades of eccentricities to the evil fairy Maleficent and added a new dimension to the character while being her badass self. We'll get to see her magic yet again in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Grace Le Domas (Ready or Not)

In Ready or Not, The rebellious bride Grace has her work cut out when her in-laws are actually evil beings who enlist her in a deadly game of hide and seek. In her fight for survival, Grace (played by Samara Weaving) becomes the true underdog hero. Ready or Not is slated to release on September 13, 2019.

Captain Marvel (Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame)

Captain Marvel is easily one of the strongest superheroes in the MCU history and we got to see that in Captain Marvel as well as Avengers: Endgame when even Thanos was scared of Carol Danvers.

Sarah Conner (Terminator: Dak Fate)

Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800 may be a memorable force to reckon with, but Sarah Conner was equally badass and one of our favourites from the Terminator franchise. To see Linda Hamilton back in action mode in Terminator: Dark Fate is making us fans very happy.
