At the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 which took place earlier this summer, Marvel Studios announced some stellar projects in the making. One of which is the Blade reboot. The vampire slayer, who has appeared on the big screen in 1998, is all set to make his way back to the theatre with a new face and a new story to tell. Kevin Feige revealed the part-vampire and part-mortal superhero will be essayed by Mahershala Ali. The two-time Oscar Award winner made his way to the SDCC to join the Marvel panel and take on the role.

Cut to today and it seems like Mahershala might have just revealed he has kicked off the prep for the Blade movie. The actor, who will be making his MCU debut with the movie, took to Instagram to share a picture from a recent magazine shoot and we noticed something unusual. The actor was seated in a rob with a pair of socks and a pair of sunglasses. While it was a casual picture, it was his hairstyle that caught our attention.

The Green Book actor is grooming himself to look like Blade which means the filming for the Marvel movie could start anytime soon. The new haircut and the shades resemble Wesley Snipes’ look in the original Blade trilogy. Although Marvel Studios hasn't announced details about the film yet, this is a huge giveaway.

It was previously revealed that Ali almost joined Matt Reeves The Batman. According to Variety's Justin Kroll, the actor was in talks with Warner Bros to play the role of Commissioner Gordon in the Robert Pattinson directorial. However, the Blade offer reached his table first and rest, as they say, is history. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
