Currently, all eyes are on Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce, who will be getting married on July 3, 2026. New rumors suggest that the singing icon has invited actress Blake Lively to be a part of her big day. But according to Extra TV, Taylor and Blake did not have a reconciliation phone call.
Since no calls were made, it’s pretty evident that the Gossip Girl star wouldn’t be celebrating Travis and Swift’s nuptials with them. For years, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were core members of Taylor Swift's tight-knit inner circle, frequently spotted on double dates and supporting each other’s professional endeavours.
However, a subtle rift reportedly formed during the fallout of Lively’s film It Ends With Us. When Blake found herself in a soup with co-star and director Justin Baldoni leaked, a private text exchange between the two friends was revealed. Though Swift affectionately told her friend to just come back, being in the drama reportedly left a temporary strain on their friendship.
Despite the public speculation about a fallout, insiders suggest that the duo never fully stopped being friends and the upcoming wedding might be the ultimate place for a reconciliation.
According to Daily Mail, Swift was initially unhappy about being dragged into the drama but became much more receptive to reconnecting with her pal. An insider told the publication, “Blake was ready to resume their friendship because it really was what caused its demise. Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won't be because she isn't welcome.”
