Bong Joon Ho's film titled Parasite which won the prestigious Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, was the first South Korean film to win this honour. The film Parasite helmed by the talented director Bong Joon Ho has managed to collect a whopping 70.9 million at the South Korean box office. This film, had managed to get one of the highest opening weekend numbers in box office collections. The fans and the film critics have given this Palme d’Or winning film a thundering response. The film audience are mighty impressed with the film helmed by the 49-year-old director Bong Joon Ho which has a limited release in the United States.       

As per latest reports, the film Parasite will be released in limited number of screens in New York and Los Angeles. The film Parasite is counted among the films like Hustlers, Downton Abbey, Us and Joker which shows how the rich and well to do folks of the society treat with those who live with limited means. The story of the film Parasite is said to be a thriller. The story line of this Palme d’Or winning film titled Parasite see a family living in a small basement like place. The film Parasite tracks the life of the parents who are supported by two kids.

In an interview director Bong Joon Ho said that when he sees the prestigious trophy of Palme d’Or, he feels a bit weird and intrigued about it. The film Parasite which has already gained good numbers at the box office is expected to rake in even better figures after its release in New York and Los Angeles.
