After the release of the Britney Spears’ documentary--Framing Britney Spears about her conservatorship, there has been a major in her conservatorship battle. After multiple efforts of wanting to have her father removed as her sole conservator, looks like its finally happening. Britney‘s dad Jamie Spears, who is currently the conservator of her estate, recently objected to the appointment of Bessemer Trust Co. as the co-conservator of the singer’s estate, which happened back in November.

While the judge denied the singers request to remover her father from the conservatorship entirely, he did demote him down to co-conservator. Yesterday, the subject was a proposed order from Britney‘s attorney that put the new co-conservatorship into effect. And while Jamie‘s lawyer objected to the co-conservatorship entirely because it “improperly reduced his powers over his daughter’s estate,” according to Variety. But the judge overruled the objections.

After the court hearing, Britney‘s lawyer said that the new order gives Jamie and Bessemer “an equal division of responsibility, in the hopes that they would sit down and figure out together the best way to handle this complex estate for the benefit of my client.” The lawyer added, “It’s no secret that my client does not want her father as co-conservator, but we recognize that removal is a separate issue.”

While the court hearing was proceeding, fans were rallying outside the venue, the singer’s new which examines her conservatorship has piqued the interest of many including current fans of the singer.
