Over the summer, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans couldn't stop chanting: "I love you 3000." The catchphrase was made popular by Robert Downey Jr and his on-screen daughter in Avengers: Endgame. Tony Stark and Morgan were seen exchanging "I love you 3000" on two occasions in the movie. Anytime the catchphrase is mentioned, Iron Man fans are spotted getting emotional. However, MCU fans went bonkers when the catchphrase began trending on Twitter a few hours ago. "#Iloveyou3000" was trending courtesy the K-Pop band BTS.

The catchphrase began trending after BTS member Jin used it during the recent Wembley concert. A video shows the Korean pop singer taking to stage and announcing "I love you 3000." It goes without saying that the video went viral. BTS Amry began chanting the catchphrase on social media and even went on to claim ownership on it. This did not go down well with Avengers fans, especially since it holds an extremely emotional connection with the MCU for them.

Now, you could imagine how things unfolded after. Avengers fans began calling out the ARMY for their rights over the catchphrase. This led to a debate on social media. Check out the video and the reactions below:

On the brighter side, there is a silver lining to the situation. At least we know, if not all BTS members, Jin is a fan of the Avengers: Endgame. We wonder if he sobbed when Tony Stark died in the Russo Brothers directorial. Meanwhile, BTS is making the headlines for their second movie release, Bring The Soul: The Movie. The feature film, which released in different parts of the world today, chronicles the behind-the-scenes of the K-Pop band's recent tour.

What do you think about the debate between the BTS ARMY and Avengers: Endgame fans over the "I love you 3000" catchphrase.
