Charlie's Angels which created quite the stir in the early 2000's reunited recently in Los Angeles recently. The angels Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy Liu appeared at the ceremony honoring their fellow angel Liu with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Pictures from the event took fans instantly back to 2000 when the crime thriller created a storm at the box office. Their co-star Demi Moore who featured in 2003’s Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle also accompanied her angels.

Lucy Liu was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her immense contribution in the television category. Liu is now the second Asian-American actress to have her own star for her work in Ally McBeal, Elementary, Southland, and other series. Her star is located next to that of Anna May Wong, who was the first Asian-American actress to receive the honour.

The Angels looked stunning at the event. While Liu was dressed in a floral multi-colour gown, Cameron Diaz rocked a pair of jeans and a long coat. Drew Barrymore sported a printed gown and Demi Moore made a statement in her knee-length dress. "Sometimes people talk about my mainstream successes as groundbreaking for an Asian, but Asians have been making movies for a long time. They just weren’t making them [in Hollywood] because we weren’t yet invited to the table. If my body of work somehow helped bridge the gap between the stereotypical roles first given to Anna May and mainstream success today, I am thrilled to be part of that process,” Lucy said at the ceremony.

A third film in the Charlie's Angels franchise will be returning to the screen this year. The film will also see Kristen Stewart in a leading role as well as Netflix sensation Noah Centineo.
