Elizabeth Banks took over the reins to direct a reboot version of Charlie's Angels and enlisted Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the main leads. Not only did the Pitch Perfect (2012) star helm the ambitious project, but she also co-produced, starred and took over the screenplay responsibility simultaneously.  A lot of expectations were riding on the film and was also met with a moderate to positive reactions from reviewers. However, the opening weekend at the US box-office saw a total collection of just $8.6 million, in comparison to its competition, Ford v Ferrari, which registered a $31 million opening weekend.

So, how does Elizabeth feel about the poor response to her movie? Well, the 45-year-old star is not letting the box-office numbers rain on her parade and is extremely proud of the final product. Banks took to her Twitter account to give a humbling response towards Charlie's Angels being a flop. "Well, if you’re going to have a flop, make sure your name is on it at least 4x. I’m proud of #CharliesAngels and happy it’s in the world," the actress tweeted.

"I had a mantra while making Charlie's Angels; the women always needed to fight smarter and not harder. They don't come into a situation wanting to fight but actually using different strategies to avoid fighting. Then, when violence attacks, they are of course capable and ready with a response," Banks shared.
