Charlie's Angels' Reboot: Twitterati is not excited for Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott & Ella Balinska's film
Entertainment Weekly, recently, unveiled the first pictures from Elizabeth Banks' Charlie's Angels and the response to the same has been underwhelming. In the new photos, we can see Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska with their guns as they hide behind sand dunes and the other one depicts them as glamorous spies.
Apart from Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin and Noah Centineo among others will also feature in the movie. Banks told EW, "It was important to me to make a movie about women working together and supporting each other, and not make a movie about their romantic entanglements or their mother they don’t call enough. She added: When I’m at work, I don’t talk about those things. I get on with my job. It felt important to do that for the Angels, to treat them with the respect their skill set demands.”
As per Banks, the movie is not an update or reboot, rather a "continuation" of the story. Banks said, “If you were rich in 1976, you only got richer. Charles Townsend is richer than ever, so he’s grown the business into a global spy agency.” Twitterati is not really excited for the movie. Some even blasted the makers downright. Check out the Twitter reactions:
This has to be a parody. They must’ve put D list actors names into a bowl and picked while blindfolded bc what in the fuck? CHARLIE’S ANGELS?! Lucy, Drew, Cameron I am so sorry. https://t.co/Z3rehJqh85

That Charlie’s Angel first glimpse is all wrong.
They should’ve cast older actresses. Actresses around the same age Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu were when they made the original movies.

For the unversed, in the year 2015, the Hollywood Reporter had reported that Sony will reboot the film with Elizabeth Banks both producing (with hubby Max Handelman) and directing. Talking about the original movie, the same was 2000's action-comedy movie based on TV series of the same name. The original one featured Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu in lead roles.
