Charlize Theron gets emotional while accepting ‘Career Achievement Award’ from Nicole Kidman

Charlize Theron is one of the best actresses of her generation and has been awarded the Hollywood Career Achievement Award on Sunday at the 23rd Annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hills.

Charlize Theron accepts one of the most important awards of her life on Sunday from her favorite Nicole Kidman. The actress that has been a part of some of the greatest movies made in Hollywood was appreciated by the ‘Career Achievement Award’ for her incredible contribution to Hollywood. During her speech, Charlize got emotional as her idol Nicole presented her the award that defines the journey of her long career. After accepting the award, Charlize had a word with Lauren Zima from ET.


Theron talked about that precious moment while getting emotional, "Nicole Kidman just gave me an award for something that I never really, I thought that I would have this career. I think every actor always longs for longevity. We try to stay in this game for a long time and the fact that I've been able to do that, not only for this long but on my terms and make the stuff that matters to me, that means a lot."

Theron also expressed his immense gratitude towards her favorite Nicole as she went on to add that, "She, to me, is such an icon and somebody that I so respect and admire. For her to say all of those things and for us to finally be in a film together and not just a film, [but] something that I'm incredibly proud of that I think is incredibly important and to share that with her means a lot."

Theron and Nicole are going to be seen next in their upcoming film ‘Bombshell’ that also have Margot Robbie, Mark Duplass, Alice Eve, and Kate McKinnon. The film is a biographical drama based on the story of some women who exposed the CEO of Fox News ‘Roger Ailes’ by bringing his sexual harassment in front of the whole world. The film is directed by Jay Roach and is going to hit theaters on December 20.
