Recently, CM Punk's return to WWE (as an analyst on WWE Backstage) had the wrestling fandom in a state of unrest as we were excited to see the former WWE wrestler back, in whatever capacity. Now, for some more good news, WWE Backstage confirmed today that another popular wrestler, who was previously employed with the wrestling company is coming back. And, not as an analyst but as an in-ring performer. It's fan-favourite John Morrison who will be back in WWE!

According to WWE Backstage, John has signed a multi-year deal with WWE. For the uninitiated, Morrison was the winner of Tough Enough Season 3 and gained exposure as a part of MNM, along with Joey Mercury and Melina. However, it was his time as a tag-team with The Miz that really elevated his stardom. However, inspite of so much potential and fan support, the 40-year-old wrestler could never cross above the upper mid-card line. Eventually, John left WWE in 2011 and made a name for himself in wrestling promotions like Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground.

Morrison took to his Instagram to celebrate the new deal writing, "Confirmed. I have signed with @WWE - I’ve never been as good at anything as I am at wrestling & I can’t wait to stand again in a #WWE ring opposite the most talented people in the business‼️"

Punk took to his Twitter page to celebrate the happy news with an epic dig, tweeting, "Dude, @WillOspreay is in New Japan," to which John replied with two crying with laughter emoticons.
