Avengers: Endgame is the type of epic film that requires a strict ban on spoilers and that is exactly what the Russo Brothers did. Even the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) cast was tight-lipped about spoiling Avengers: Endgame. Even actors like Mark Ruffalo were in their best behaviour, almost! Many of them were confused over which film they were shooting scenes for as Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame was shot simultaneously. Dave Bautista was amongst those who was extremely confused and even got a little grief over it.

During an interview, talking about his work schedule in the MCU, Dave had accidentally spoiled that his character Drax was coming back in Avengers: Endgame. This, in turn, confirmed the speculations that the superheroes vanished to dust in Avengers: Infinity War will be returning in Avengers: Endgame. Dave explained to Collider, Bautista explained that he was kept in the dark about how Infinity War ended. The actor had no clue as to which parts of his were in which film. While doing press for Infinity War, he spoke about his work schedule shooting for both films in the year. This was done by him without the knowledge that his character was going to disintegrate to dust.

Dave revealed to Collider, "I actually had a discussion with the Russo Brothers because all they saw was that headline: ‘Dave Bautista’s Giving Spoilers For Endgame.' And I wasn’t at all. I was just talking very openly about my work schedule and that was before I knew that I was gonna be turned into dust!"
