Rapper Drake woke up hurt today as he revealed in an Instagram Story after his dad Dennis Graham accused him of lying about their relationship to “sell records." Drake took to social media and wrote, "Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him. It’s sad when family gets like this, but what can we really do that’s the people we are stuck with.” The rapper then went on to clarify, “every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

The father and son began feuding after Drake's father Graham quashed his song lyrics which labelled him as an absentee father. However, he also ended up accusing Drake of using him to sell records. It all happened when Graham appeared on Nick Cannon's radio show.

Speaking about it, Graham had said on the show, "I had a conversation with Drake about that. I always been with Drake. I talk — I talk to him if not every day, then every other day. We really got into a deep conversation about that. I said, ‘Drake, why are you saying all of this different stuff about me? Man, this is not cool,'” Graham revealed to Nick.

He then added that Drake reportedly admitted it saying, “He [said], ‘Dad, it sells records.’ Uh-okay. Okay, well cool,” Graham told Cannon. However, Drake clarified saying this is far from the truth. Drake has made references to his childhood in his music — specifically his dad’s absence on the track “Look What You’ve Done”.
