The wrestling community has new fodder to chew on, courtesy of The Undertaker. During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, the WWE legend had stated, "I try [to enjoy it as a fan]. It's tough for me because the product has changed so much and it's kind of soft." While some agreed with Taker's viewpoint, many didn't agree with the 55-year-old wrestler.

When Edge was asked about Taker's comment during a global WWE teleconference via WWE India and Sportskeeda, the Men's Royal Rumble winner defended his Wrestlemania 24 opponent, saying, "I think any comment can be taken out of context and I think that's part of what happened there. In a three-hour interview, I think they took the most salacious 20-second clip. I think anybody, whoever steps foot into the wrestling ring, no matter what era - whether it be the 1940s, whether it be the 2020s - all tough."

According to the 47-year-old wrestler, all of them got into professional wrestling because "they love it, for the most part." Furthermore, Edge touched upon the "different challenges" that come with every era, decade and incarnation of what WWE becomes as a business. "We didn't have the challenge that is social media. Now it's a great outlet in order to get your product out there, in order to make your brand bigger," Edge noted.

However, Edge also shed light on a whole lot of hiccups and possible bumps on the road that come along with the business now, which is a challenge his era didn't have to navigate. What his era had to worry about was just getting to the building and producing. Now, there are cameras which never stop rolling with every aspect of your life being under a microscope.

"That's an entirely different challenge than we ever encountered. It's just different is all. To me, anybody who ever steps foot in there - badass," Edge acknowledged.
