Game of Thrones took a bow at Emmys 2019, as the award ceremony hosted a sweet tribute for the iconic series that changed the world of Television, forever, with 8 glorious seasons! 10 GOT series regulars, including Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, received Emmy nominations but ultimately it was only Peter Dinklage who took home the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. With this win, Peter officially holds the record for most wins (4) in the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category. Dinklage was earlier tied with Aaron Paul, who won 3 Emmys for Breaking Bad.

As Peter walked up the stage and received a standing ovation for his terrific act as Tyrion Lannister, the 50-year-old actor got emotional thanking David Benioff and Dan Weiss. However, since this was the last ever Emmy that Dinklage would be receiving an Emmy for Game of Thrones, Peter was sure to make his speech extremely memorable. "Thank you. I have no idea what I'm about to say, but here we go. I count myself so fortunate to be a member of a community that is all about tolerance and diversity, because no other place could I be standing on a stage like this. It's been about 10 years, all said and done, since the moment I met Dave and Dan until right now. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew that David and Dan were quite brilliant.," the Avengers: Infinity War (2018) star began his speech by talking about diversity.

His next few words demanded a major bleep as Dinklage continued, "Ten years of absolute sweat, but 10 years of the most incredible, talented, funniest m***********g people — hey, it's over, I don't care — I've ever been lucky enough to work with."

"We did nothing but sweat, we did nothing but laugh. Dave and Dan, we literally walked through fire and ice for you. Literally. And I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you," Peter ended his speech on an emotional note.

Now, that's the way to go out, glory and guns blazing!
