Avengers: Endgame released three weeks back and has hit a sixer out of the park as witnessed by the massive global box-office collection so far. It's already surpassed the $2.1 billion mark and could soon overpower James Cameron's Avatar (2009) whose lifetime collections stand at $2.78 billion. With Avengers: Endgame ending a decade-long MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) phase, we will now be given a fresh perspective with Phase 4. One Marvel franchise that has gotten us excited beyond belief is The Eternals. It was last year when the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige announced that The Eternals will be a part of the MCU.

For the uninitiated, The Eternals are a group of near-immortal superheroes with Ikaris and Sersi as the central characters. In March 2019 came the exciting announcement that Angelina will be a part of The Eternals as Sersi. Even comedian Kumail Nanjiani and Korean actor Ma Dong-Seok were approached for the film. Recently, rumours became rife that Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden has been cast as Ikaris in The Eternals. While Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo are scripting The Eternals, the movie will be directed by Chloe Zhao.
