Just a few days ago, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige took to the D23 stage and announced Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington was debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Eternals. The announcement left Game of Thrones fans crazy. They were thrilled that Kit was reuniting with his GoT co-star Richard Madden. The social media was flooded with memes about the Stark brothers crossing paths again. Turns out, Madden is thrilled that Harington has come on board of the MCU movie.

The on-screen siblings parted way after Madden's character, Robb Stark, dies in the horrifying Red Wedding. It has been almost ten years since the episode was shot. Since then, the two have walked different paths. However, Madden is now eager to work with Harington again. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Madden said he was excited to return on the sets with Harington.

“It’s brilliant,” Madden said, reacting to Harington's casting, before adding, “It’s been about 10 years since we’ve worked together, I think. So we’ve moved on a bit onto different things, so I’m really excited to get back on set.”

We are as excited as Madden and the Game of Thrones fans to see the two stars reunite. Marvel revealed that Harington has been roped in to play one of the non-Eternal characters. His character is called Dane Whitman, who's superhero alter ego is called Black Knight. Harington already knows how to swing the sword so that's one less thing he needs to learn. Or wait, did Marvel consider him because he knew how to work his way around the sword in the first place? Fuel our baseless theory with your thoughts in the comments section below.

Apart from Madden and Harington, The Eternals features a stellar cast which includes Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lia McHugh.
