This week's Monday Night RAW saw SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley in action as she was embroilled in a Beat the Clock Challenge with Nikki Cross. MIA was Alexa Bliss and the reasoning given by Nikki was that she was sick. However, according to Mike Johnson from the PW Insider Elite audio, Alexa was very much backstage but just wasn't used for the show. During the challenge, Bayley beat Sarah Logan in four minutes and 32 seconds. However, Cross was able to win the challenge as she defeated Dana Brook with one minute and fifty seconds to spare.

The winner would get to choose the stipulation for the SmackDown Women's Championship match at Extreme Rules 2019. The stipulation chosen by Nikki, as she won the challenge, was a handicap match. Hence, Bayley will have her work cut out as she will have to defend her title against both Bliss and Cross. It will be interesting to see if Sasha Banks, who has been missing in action for the past few weeks comes as a surprise return to help Bayley retain her championship. Meanwhile, on this week's SmackDown Live, Bayley and Nikki had a contract signing for their Extreme Rules 2019 bout.

Bayley tried to manipulate Cross trying to convince her that Alexa was just manipulating her and that she will betray her "friend" the minute Bliss finds a chance to steal the title. On the other hand, Nikki vowed to support her friends and took a dig at Bayley stating that all her friends abandoned the SmackDown Women's champ.
