Fast & Furious 9: Vin Diesel shares a video of John Cena's last day shooting; says he's proud of the wrestler

Vin Diesel took to his Instagram page to share a video with his Fast & Furious 9 co-star John Cena, revealing that it was the wrestler's last day of shooting for the movie. Vin also revealed that we will be blown away by John's performance. Check out the video below.

The latest entrant in the Fast & Furious family is the one and only John Cena. Back in June 2019, John headed to London to join the team of Fast & Furious 9 and kickstart shooting. However, no prior details on Cena's character are known as of yet. Many speculate that the actor could be seen as the leader of Eteon, which was a center of focus in the recently released Hobbs & Shaw, that starred The Rock and Jason Statham. It's now week 16 of shooting for F&F 9 and it also marks the last day of shooting for the WWE wrestler.

Vin Diesel, who has struck a tight bond with the 42-year-old actor, took to his Instagram page to update fans about John's last day of filming. "Week 16, Fast 9 and it truly is as Jordana [Brewster] says a bittersweet moment because someone who’ve I’ve had the great pleasure of working with, John Cena, is finally filming his last day," Vin started off his video, which features Cena standing next to him with a smile on his face. Talking about John's charismatic performance in the upcoming F&F installment, the 52-year old actor revealed that we will be blown away by his co-star's performance.

"I have to tell you when you see him in this movie, when you see his character come to life you will be blown away. You are going to be ecstatic about what he’s contributed to this saga. I’m so so so proud of him, I can’t even put it into words," Diesel shared.

On the other hand, John teased fans about who his character maybe by saying, "I know a lot of you are asking questions: What do you do in the movie? Why are you here? What can you expect? I have many of those answers — but you’re going to have to wait and see. You are in for a wild ride, I can tell you that."

"This is a monumental day. Bittersweet is a great choice of words. What a wonderful journey it's been. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Play that clip over again. Thank you. Thank you. Just keep it going. This has been unlike anything I've been a part and I know everybody who watches it around the world, they're going to feel the same thing. We've made something awesome here and I hope you guys enjoy here," Cena added passionately.
