Friends Reunion: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry & others to reunite for a special
STOP EVERYTHING for a special Friends reunion is in the making. It seems like a dream come true! For over a decade, fans of the popular sitcom have been begging the cast to reunite for a special episode. There were also rumours suggesting a Friends movie was in the making. However, none of it happened. Neither has the cast sat down together for a chat show, not have they blessed us with a reunion special. But it seems like everything is about to change.
About 15 years after the emotional finale episode aired on television, a new report suggests Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer could reunite for a special something. Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the main cast and the creators of Friends are in the talks to reunite on HBO Max.
While this is some exciting news, insiders caution fans that the deal "is far from done and agreements with cast and creatives still need to be hammered out." When and if the deal comes through, scheduling the filming as per everyone's availability will be a task as well. The report also reveals that the special would be an "unscripted reunion special."
The news about the reunion comes a few days after Jennifer teased that a reunion might possibly in the works. The actress appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a couple of weeks ago, where she also met Charlie Puth and was asked about a possible Friends reunion.
"Listen we would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is. So, we're just trying. We're working on something," she said.
