Emilia Clarke became a household name for her iconic portrayal of the mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. Since 2011, Khaleesi has managed to worm her way into a million hearts and Emilia's brilliant performance is the reason for it. *SPOILERS ALERT* Hence, our hearts broke when we saw Khaleesi die in the last episode of Game of Thrones, just as she was to finally claim the Iron Throne. What was even more brutal was that it was her lover, Jon Snow, who did the murderous deed.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Emilia got candid about Kit's reaction to finding out that it was Jon who would be killing Dany. During the table read, Harington had not yet read the script and would be reading it for the first time. When the pair reached to the final sequence of Jon and Dany, Kit recalled, "I looked at Emilia and there was a moment of me realizing, 'No, no…'" To this, Emilia quietly responded, "Yes..." "He was crying and then it was kind of great him not having read it," Clarke shared.

We could not get over the scene as well!

Emilia revealed that she too was shocked with finding out what happens to her character's fate and could only think, "WHAT?" The actress never saw that coming from a mile away. Clarke shared, "I cried and I went for a walk. I walked out of the house and took my keys and phone and walked back with blisters on my feet. I didn’t come back for five hours. I’m like, 'How am I going to do this?'"

Never mind. They never wanted another Targaryen on the Iron Throne after how the Mad King turned out to be.

So they got rid of her in the worst possible way.

It was an all-STARK show.

Very justified. She'd burned thousands of children alive just to kill a handful of surrendered soldiers. True, she was a good person and was transformed by tragity, but it was now too late, the transformation was done.

Not justified, because his aunt had suffered a few big loses, was having a rough time and he wasn't into incest.
Are you kidding me?!!
She had to die, and Jon knew that he would be the only one that could get close enough to do it.

This is ridiculous. Dany was at war with the Kingdom of Kings Landing, its soldiers, citizens (who sought the protection of Queen Cersei. When you go to war, all are your enemies. Case in point: Germany and Japan. America bombed Germany into close to total destruction, thousands of citizens lost their lives. When “we” dropped the A-Bomb on Japan, we killed off thousand of citizens whom their Leader had swore that the population would defend Japan to their dying breath causing an invasion of their homeland to cost the lives of U.S. soldiers in the thousands. Jon Snow is an outright murderer, killed his Queen who he swore on his “sacred” oath to protect. He was manipulated by the great schemer Tyrion who knew that assassination of Dany was the only way out for him. grey worm would never have acquiesced to Jon Snow Returning to the Wall as the wall no longer existed and the reason for its construction is lost. The unsullied and Dorathe would have demanded blood and death to these traitors. Who is to say the citizens of Kings Landing would not rebel and fight Daenarys after the surrender. Didn’t that happen to her before with the Harpies in Meereen? Perhaps, Drogon will fly her to Valeria, lay her down amongst the dragon eggs he/she would have deposited there, place her on a funeral pyre use his flames to restore her to life. After all, she’s not a human and restoration of life is known to have occurred throughout the lands. Daenarys returns to life and swears vengeance on Jon Snow, Kings Landing, the Imp and Bran the Broken, Sansa and the north. Vengeance is mine said the Queen of Dragons

It is what it is..

It is what it is..

Not justified. It was his fault she was pushed into the abyss of madness. When she lost Jorah, Rhaeghal, and Missandei, all at once, she was broken. Then she felt she lost Jon. Too much loss and heartache. Her reality became twisted. She should have known something was up because he didn’t kiss her that passionately since they sailed to winterfell together. He gave her no affection and didn’t even explain why. He just let her descend into madness.

Why it mattered that he was the true heir is beyond me when they didn't do anything with it.
I was not a fan of thr dinale but understand why he dis what hw dis. Sansa NEVER wouks have bendes the knee as Queen of the North (another thing I amunhappy about). I admire Dany for wantinf to liberate people. While her intentions may have been good, she killed 1000s of innocents; and would have continued to kill.
I do think they left room for a sequel with Dany. We are talking about someone whom walked into fire and came out barely a hair out of place and Mother of Dragons.

She planned to keep killing. It had to be done!

Her plan was to continue killing many more. It had to be done.

Not justified with Jon Snow's ending! Why the hype when his true parentage didn't matter at the end? Plus Could have developed the story of Daenery's character more rather than deciding the rapid ending of the show! The person who decided that the show should end in 6 episodes is the culprit!!

He had to kill her for his sisters. No more fighting. Blood is thicker than water.

Duh because the crappy story has been taken in the “mad” queen direction!

Definitely justified
