Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 was a heartbreaking mess that had its twists and turns. Some absolutely loved what unfolded in the Last War as Daenerys Targaryen reigned supreme and bought fire and mayhem to King's Landing. On the other hand, many believed that Cersei Lannister's death wasn't satisfactory at all. And then we have the character development of Jaime Lannister, which was questioned by many. However, a few were happy that Cersei and Jaime were at least reunited and died in each other's arms.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime, took to Instagram to share a series of fun behind-the-scenes selfies with Lena Headey, who plays Cersei. The photos were taken after shooting for their last scene together, which also happens to be their death sequence. The duo, who are good friends in real life, were seen taking goofy selfies. Paying tribute to his amazing co-star, Nikolaj wrote, "The best, sweetest most wonderful sister from another mother @iamlenaheadey. That was a fun decade."

Meanwhile, Lena took to Instagram to pay tribute to Cersei aka the most intriguing character she has played to date.

Lena wrote, "There she goes. It’s been fun, and bonkers. I loved her. I am grateful for the opportunity. Massively thankful for your encouraging and supportive love along the way. And now her watch is ended (I know she’d never make it, knights watch wouldn’t have her .. but still..)"

The Lannister siblings will indeed be missed!

So disappointed that they made us wait 2 years for 6 episodes!
It's such an exciting show.

Had a tear in my eye when they both died. It was a romantic tragedy .As long as they were together nothing bad could really hurt them, they had each other. I loved this part of the story . Granted Danni got a lot of vengeance but she’s been betrayed so many times I think she just said “hell w it” and decided to get even, innocents be damned

The show seems super rushed. Cersei death not satisfied. She should be set on fire and paraded na**d. We were expecting a trial or death by dragon fire at least. No revenge by northerners either.waste build up all these years.

Saved the poorest Season until last,if a single Dragon can decimate everything within its path, well three Dragons??.Golden what??,two screenshots gone, lannister resistance none, what was the fuss of resting an army if your force does not have to engage in any actual real combat.Very poor.

Now after a day of reflection, I'm content. She was horrible, but adapted and had a rough life. Dyeing like that underground is still pretty bad.

After much thought, the end of Jaime and Cersei, although unsatisfactory to a majority of the fans of the show, is the most realistic. Had the GoT been a true story, Jaime and Cersei would havd ended the way their story ended in the 5th episode. After all, someone who is truly in love will do anything for his love.

So I enjoyed this season up until these last two episodes. I feel that really really needed one more season to end game of thrones properly instead of all these in depth character developments coming to a smooth ending everything feels super rushed. Like we have to end it this year so let's just kill them here show some useless shots of these characters doing nothing so they are in this episode etc. There is one episode left and so many questions that I already know its not gonna be a good ending it's gonna be rushed and probably feature the Bud Light knight somewhere since Starbucks for their cameo

*Episode 5.. we are waiting another week for 6.

I wish they were able to get away the younger brother would be heartbroken

I know there are many who felt Cersei didn't get the death she deserved but having the Red Keep falling down on you seems fitting to me. Especially after the destruction of the Sept of Baelor.
