One of the pivotal moments in Game of Thrones Season 8 was the Battle of Winterfell which saw the living take on The Night King and his dead army. While Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister, Brienne Of Tarth, Theon Greyjoy, Arya Stark and more were involved in the battle, Tyrion Lannister and Sansa Stark were stationed inside the crypt, along with the women and children. Many criticised Tyrion and Sansa for staying inside the crypt instead of fighting the wights. We were shown a tender moment between the pair, who were once married, as they get ready with their dragon glass daggers to avenge the others.

However, what happens after was not shown! We only saw that the two survive the Battle of Winterfell. Now, in a deleted scene, which will be made available on GoT's Season 8's home release, we actually get to see the couple in action as they attack the wights. The scene, which was shared by Entertainment Weekly, we see the wights wrecking the crypt apart and attacking the unarmed women and children. While Missandei hides behind one of the Stark statues, she encounters Gilly and little Sam.

As expected, Sam is seen crying and while Gilly and Missandei try to shoo him but to no avail. When the wights hear Sam's cries, they follow the sound and it looks like three casualties were in the near future before Tyrion and Sansa save the night by killing them with the dragon glass.

It was a scene that should have been included to showcase that Tyrion and Sansa did infact help save people during the Battle of Winterfell!

In some good news, at least the two got their individual happy endings, something we rarely see happen to our favourite characters on Game of Thrones. While Tyrion was made the Hand of the King to Bran Stark, Sansa was crowned as the Queen in the North.
