So just to jog your memory, here's where we left at the end of season 7. Jon Snow and Daenerys believe that they have convinced Cersei to join forces to fight the Army of the dead which is not true. Cersei has a different plan (to betray them), with which Jamie doesn't agree and he leaves his lover/sister alone with his child in her womb. Jon and Daenerys start moving towards Winterfell to reunite with Sansa, Arya and Brandon Stark. They sleep together as they are not aware of how they are related to each other. Peter Baelish fails in separating Arya and Sansa from each other. He gets executed by the Stark sisters for his evil tricks and political planning. On the other hand, Bran and Samwell know the truth about Jon being the rightful heir to the throne. Meanwhile, the Night King has destroyed the Wall with the help of his dragon for his army to get through.

The first episode of game of thrones season 8 began with the mother of dragons entering Winterfell along with her army, two dragons and of course Jon Snow. She brings everyone with her, including Tyrion, The Hound, Gendry and Lord Varys. While, Arya seems happy to see Jon and the dragons, Sansa looks a little disappointed in her brother. A lot of others including Lyanna Mormont are not so much happy with Jon bending the knee to Daenerys Targaryen. Brandon aka the three-eyed raven keeps warning everyone for the threat ( Army of the dead) that is upon their heads.

Sansa feels that her old friend Tyrion is stupid to believe Cersei about her support at the end. Euron Greyjoy arrives at King's Landing with the ships of the Golden Company and is finally successful in impressing the queen. Interestingly, Cersei appoints Bronn of Blackwater to kill both her brothers if they survive. On the other hand, Theon rescues his sister Yara from their Uncle's clutches and starts marching towards Winterfell, while Yara does not join her brother.

Meanwhile, Khaleesi's dragons are not eating and according to her, they don't like the North. Khaleesi makes Jon ride a dragon with her on the other. As Daenerys tells Samwell about his brother and father's demise, he is devastated. The biggest revelation is that Sam tells Jon the truth about him being Aegon Targaryen aka the rightful heir to the throne. What will he do? Will he break his pledge to Khaleesi or not? Only further episodes can answer these questions. The Night King leaves a symbol as a message for everyone. The episode concludes with Jamie reaching Winterfell and seeing Bran, who is crippled because of him.

No...Jon snow will not break the pledge to the Khalisi as he is the loyal one and he is not greedy of the throne. But it might be that he will survived the winter, rather khalisi might be die, then he will be rule the 7 kingdom.
