Hey there, Upper East Siders, there's a new gossip that has dropped in our inbox and we're here to share it with you. For five years, we waited to get our hands dirty and know the fictional little secrets of the Upper East Siders courtesy Gossip Girl. Season after season, episode after episode, we felt we knew Serena and Blaire better than our own best friends. One fine day, they disappeared, shattering our hearts with their happy ending. However, a little birdie from the cast has our hopes high over a possible Gossip Girl return.

Ever since 2012, we've been dying to know if the hit television show, featuring Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, and others, would have a new season. While the makers have not uttered a word about a reboot or a new season, Chace Crawford has us hoping that the cast would reunite for an eight-episode season. The actor, better known as Nate Archibald on the show, recently spoke to Digital Spy and shared his thoughts on a possible revival/reboot season.

The actor admitted he would be ready to reprise his role for the show if ever it happens. "I don't know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I'm open to anything. It would have to be really right, and really specific, and with TV and the golden age of the TV streaming service, maybe an eight-episode season," he said.

Please, please, please, make it happen!

"It would be very tough to get everybody on board I think because of their schedules, Penn, Leighton, Ed... They're all doing really good TV shows. It would be hard I think [to get them all together]. The reboot might come in the form of new characters. I would absolutely cameo. I'd have to!" he added.

What do you think, should the Gossip Girl gang reunite for a new season, for old times sake? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. Until then, xoxo, Gossip Girl!
