Jonas Brothers scored a Grammys 2020 nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for Sucker.

Grammys 2020 was trending last night as the nominations list is finally out for the world to see. While there were many snubs along the way, the Grammys 2020 nominations celebrated a lot of first-time nominees. Heading the list is rapper Lizzo, who earned a staggering eight nominations while following her was Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, who scored six nominations each. While they've been in the music scene since they were teenagers, Grammys 2020 marked the first-ever nomination for the Jonas Brothers. The Jonas Brothers will be up against Ariana Grande & Social House, Lil Nas X & Billy Ray Cyrus and Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their summer hit single Sucker.

Taking to their Instagram page, the brothers got extremely emotional as they put out a joint statement on how overjoyed they are with the Grammys 2020 nomination. It was on January 13, 2018, when the Jo Bros had a boys weekend in Mammoth and ended up having some "very honest conversations." The idea initially began with doing a Vegas residency with no new music but eventually turned it into a documentary about the trials and tribulations from their past. Back then, they weren't all the way through and the road to where they are today was not easy. For them, it took a lot of healing and time to be more comfortable with doing something together after their time apart as solo artists.

"This isn’t just a band, this is our family. There were some really tough moments that had to happen for us to get to this place but it’s right where we are supposed to be. This has truly been our greatest year yet. We get to be back on stage together again, as brothers, where we belong and making music that we love and are proud of. We truly couldn’t be artists, as friends, and as brothers," the trio added.

While a year ago, there was no music by the Jonas Brothers, 2019 has earned them their first-ever Grammy nomination, which means the world to them. On an ending note, the Jonas Brothers thanked their fans, for whom the comeback meant the world, Ryan Tedder and the Recording Academy.

"Thank you everyone for believing in us!," Joe, Nick and Kevin signed off.
