We must confess, it was difficult to put together a list of newsmakers this week for there were so many stars who left everyone talking. The week began with the spillover of Taylor Swift vs Big Machine battle. After Taylor called Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta, the duo broke their silence over the controversy and gave their green signal to Taylor to perform her songs at the American Music Awards 2019. Braun also revealed since Taylor went public with her battle, he and his family have received several death threats.

While Taylor was busy fighting for her music, her BFF Selena Gomez confirmed she was releasing her new album in January 2020. The singer hinted that her new songs could feature more references to Justin Bieber. Meanwhile, JB was busy celebrating Hailey Baldwin's birthday. Hailey turned 23 on Saturday, November 23. The duo chose to have a low-key birthday celebration. Staying on the topic of birthdays, Saturday was also Miley Cyrus' birthday. The singer, who has been MIA for a while now due to her vocal surgery, shared pictures from her birthday celebrations featuring her mother and beau Cody Simpson.

Meanwhile, on the movies front, there were also rumours doing the rounds that Brad Pitt has found love yet again. Without much further ado, here are the biggest newsmakers of the week.

BTS snubbed at Grammys 2020:

The Grammys 2020 nominations were announced earlier this week with Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X leading the pack. Lizzo bagged eight nominations whereas Billie and Nas received six nods. The nominations list revealed that the Recording Academy did not recognise BTS this year. The snub left ARMY disappointed. Selena Gomez announces new album; Justin Bieber celebrates Hailey Baldwin's birthday:

Selena Gomez finally answered fans' prayers when she revealed a new album was coming their way in 2020. The Lose You To Love Me singer revealed the new album, dubbed as SG2, is set to release in January and it is "my diary from the past few years and I can’t wait for you to hear it." Selena's new album announcement came a few days before Hailey Baldwin's 23rd birthday. Hailey celebrated her birthday with Justin Beiber on Saturday. The duo stepped out for a romantic lunch in Malibu. "She seemed happy and was readjusting her makeup and making kissy lips over at Justin. They had a two-hour lunch and stayed to relax by the water for a while. Then Hailey drove them home," an insider told E! News.

Miley Cyrus celebrates her birthday with Cody Simpson:

Miley turned a year older over the weekend and she decided to ring in her birthday with her beau Cody Simpson along with her family. The singer took to her social media to share glimpses of her birthday celebrations. It included a haircut from Tish Cyrus, a dinner with family and an adorable birthday message from Cody. Miley's birthday celebrations flooded our timeline days after Liam Hemsworth's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky reacted to Liam and Miley's split. She said Liam deserved better. "My brother-in-law, well…After a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he's a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better," Elsa told E! News.

Taylor Swift vs Big Machine:

Days after she called Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta, the duo broke their silence and said they have no issues with Swift performing her songs at the upcoming American Music Awards 2019. "As the world now knows you can and should perform any song you would like at the AMAs. I have never and would never say otherwise. You do not need anyone's permission to do so legally but I am stating it here clearly and publicly so there no more debate or confusion," Braun said in a statement.
