The entertainment world went into overdrive in March 2025 when Hollywood superstar Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein were spotted together at a Broadway show. Coinciding with their upcoming film Office Romance, the public outing immediately ignited dating rumors. Now that the two stars are officially promoting their highly anticipated romantic comedy, they have finally cleared the air.

On the Today Show, co-host Savannah Guthrie asked Jennifer and Ted Lasso star about the persistent relationship buzz. Lopez shut it down stating, “There's never a time when I'm seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don't try to put me with the person.” Goldstein quickly added, “I think if you stand near her, that's what happens... That’s why I’ve been standing so close this whole time!"
Even as the host pressed them for a more definitive response, Lopez firmly stood her ground against the relentless rumor mill. She elaborated, "That was not an answer? It was an answer! Because all these people that they put me, I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. I was with … there was a lot of people. It happens all the time. Doesn't make it true.” Driving the final point home, Lopez stated simply, "Not dating,” with Goldstein concluding, “Correct.”

The pop icon’s journey to empowerment follows a heavily publicized romantic history, most notably with Ben Affleck. In the early 2000s, Jennifer and Ben met, fell in love, and got engaged, but split up that same year due to the intense pressure of the public eye. They famously got back together two decades later, marrying in July 2022 before she filed for divorce in August 2024. Lopez has been married four times and shares her twins with singer Marc Anthony.
