When you think of WWE, there are several names that pop up, whether you are a fan or not. The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Another name that is almost synonymous with WWE is John Cena. Since 2002, the wrestler has burst into the wrestling scene and became the face of the company for almost a decade. He is the one superstar who has always managed to have a polarising reaction from the WWE Universe. Whether it be "Let's Go Cena" or "Cena Sucks," you can't help but love the man.

As the years have passed by, Cena has now stepped aside as the leader of WWE and occasionally pops up to deliver amazing matches after amazing matches. Recently, John returned to WWE at Wrestlemania 35 and took us on a nostalgic trip as the Doctor of Thuganomics while spitting some mean raps that left the crowd in a state hysteria. Today, i.e. April 23, 2019, the Cenation Leader celebrates his 42nd birthday. In honour of the champ's special day, here are John Cena's top 5 matches you can rewatch today:

1. John Cena vs. Edge - Unforgiven 2006
One of John Cena's greatest rivals in WWE history will always be the Rated-R Superstar Edge. Their TLC match at Unforgiven 2006 where Cena FU'ed Edge from the top of the ladder into two tables will forever be an unforgettable visual for the WWE Universe.
2. John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels - RAW 2007
Considered as the best match in Monday Night RAW's history, Cena and The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels had a rematch of Wrestlemania 23. With a raucous London crowd, John and Shawn delivered a classic.
John Cena vs. Randy Orton - Breaking Point 2009
What Stone Cold Steve Austin is to The Rock, Randy Orton is to John Cena. It wouldn't be wrong to say that Cena and Orton were the true blood superstars of the company post The Attitude Era. Their I Quit match at Breaking Point 2009 was gruesome and entertaining at best!
John Cena vs. CM Punk - Money in the Bank 2011
Dave Meltzer gave John Cena his first and only 5-star match rating until now, for his legendary bout with CM Punk at Money in the Bank 2011. While The Summer of Punk was at the forefront, CM Punk would not have become the megastar he became without someone of Cena's caliber to compete against. There were absolutely no flaws in this memorable match.
John Cena vs. AJ Styles - Royal Rumble 2017
Cena vs. Styles was a dream match for the WWE Universe. While their showing at Summerslam 2016 is the kind of stuff legends are made of, it was their 4.75-star match at Royal Rumble 2017 that really stole the show. The match was extra special for Cena as he captured his 16th WWE Championship, tying with WWE Legend Ric Flair's record.
