The Undertaker's controversial statement on how he finds it difficult to enjoy the current WWE product, referring to it as "soft," has rattled quite a few bones in the wrestling community. John Cena, who is currently shooting for Peacemaker in Vancouver, Canada, was asked in his interview with Forbes if he agrees with his 'sort of' WrestleMania 34 opponent's analogy.

Cena admitted that he's viewed WWE as a "product outside of myself" for a long time which could be why he was so interested in the business side of it from very early on his career. On one hand, John has seen WWE evolve but on the other hand, he's also been called 'everything that’s ruined sports entertainment.' Looking into the economics aspect, the 43-year-old wrestler thinks he can make the argument that between himself and the wrestlers who carried on the roster beyond the Attitude Era into the Ruthless Aggression Era and the Reality Era, Attitude Era fans looked at his era as what they're not used to which it wasn't.

"So I may have a bit of disagreement with Undertaker’s word choice because I don’t think it’s soft, I think it’s different," John added. Cena further recalled when Steve Austin returned during the height of the PG era, the WWE Hall of Famer was "befuddled" because, for Stone Cold, he goes out there and runs it. If Austin ever got stuck, Cena stated that he could curse, throw up some middle fingers and ask for beers. Due to the PG era, three of the biggest clubs that Stone Cold could hit with were taken away. Instead, he was told to go to the ring and be himself. According to Cena, a disgruntled Steve came back shaking his head and said, "I don’t know how you do this!" However, John believes that if the WWE legend has enough time, he could get used to the PG era given he's a "great performer."

"What do I think of the WWE product right now? I love it," John concluded to Forbes.
