For more than a decade, John Cena was the face that held WWE on his strong shoulders and helped the company flourish. Especially after megastars The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin said goodbye to their wrestling careers, it was up to Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect to carry forward the legacy of WWE. However, given how Cena is flourishing in Hollywood with some big-ticket films to his credit, the wrestler is slowly stepping aside from WWE. His last appearance was at Wrestlemania 35 and it was not for a match. Instead, John went down the throwback lane and appeared in a segment with Elias as the Dr. of Thugnomics.

In a candid interview with The Wrap, the Bumblebee (2018) actor got candid about his future with WWE hereafter. "There was a time when I could genuinely say, from a financial standpoint, they needed me — that time is up. WWE does not need me. I need it and I love it, and I love every single moment I’m associated with it," Cena simply stated. John gave credit to the current talent who feels are capable of carrying WWE forward. The wrestler also stated that he would much rather leave a "lasting impression" for everything he did in his prime rather than trying to "milk the system" for his "selfish gains."

Without Johncena in wwe is like a son without mother

Yeah I will miss him... He's the reason I started watching WWE....he gave so many unforgettable moments

I think he damaged his legacy by losing to mid card jobbers during his last days as a full time wrestler.

There is no wwe without the champ.... John Cena

John Cena is once in generation superstar, no one can match him, as for now no current wrestlers in WWE is capable of doing things what Cena did in wwe. If anyone wants proof then go through the current ratings of WWE.
