Kate Middleton and Prince William have announced the new name of their royal foundation after they officially separated from their joint charity with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In June this year, the royal couples separated their joint charity amid claims of a growing rift between them. However, it was also because the Duke and Duchesses wanted to concentrate on a variety of charitable causes. Their once-shared charity is now held by Kate and William and has simply been renamed as The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, according to documents published by Companies House.

On June 20, the Kensington Palace had announced that they will be splitting their charity. The statement at the time read, “Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation.” However, the statement had added that "in addition both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together."

The four were once dubbed the "Fab Four", but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who welcomed baby Archie in May, reportedly separated from the joint charity to focus on separate charitable endeavours. Harry and Meghan's charity name now stands as Sussex Royal short for 'Sussex Royal. The Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex'.
