The Duke and Duchess of Cambride, Prince William and Kate Middleton landed in Islamabad, Pakistan on Monday i.e. on October 14, 2019 for their first ever trip to the country. The two of them were received by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Foreign minister of Pakistan and Thomas Drew, British High Commissioner to Pakistan. According to reports, the royal couple is on a five – day visit to Pakistan. The Duke and Duchess are also supposed to meet Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The arrival of the royal couple in Pakistan has definitely sent the media into frenzy. However, it is, in fact, Kate Middleton who has stolen the limelight as soon as the royal couple arrived in the country. The Duchess of Cambridge chose an outfit which resembles the traditional salwar kameez. Clad in an aqua blue tunic top with a draped neckline and matching pants underneath, Kate definitely nailed the classy outfit. The Duchess also wore a pair of nude heels which complimented her entire outfit. Prince William, on the other hand, looked dapper in a blue suit.

But what has actually caught our attention is that Kate’s dress resembles the outfit of late Princess Diana who wore a similar traditional ensemble during her visit to Pakistan back in the year 1996. For the unversed, Diana had paid three visits to the country and her last visit was during the year 1997. After that Prince William’s father Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla Parker, the Duchess of Cornwall also visited Pakistan in the year 2006 to visit some of the areas which were affected by the 2005 earthquake in the country.
