Following an explosive performance yesterday at inauguration day, Katy Perry has set social media on fire. The 35-year-old singer sang her popular song Fireworks while fireworks exploded over The Washington Monument. Fans couldn’t stop praising the singer after her performance and took to Twitter to express their love for the recent mom. Even Perry’s fiance took to Instagram on and shared a sweet message for Katy Perry following her performance during the Celebrating America event. 

 

In the message, Orlando mentioned the couple’s 4-month-old daughter Daisy. “One day our little girl will grow up and see her mother play her part in a moment in history that we hope will heal, we hope will unite, we hope, we love” Orlando wrote. “One proud partner here with a tear of joy”

 

While other fans of Katy make Perry trend on social media. One tweeted: “Did you know that KATY PERRY invented fireworks? Yup, she did.” While another said: “THAT LONG BELT IN THE END WTFF LITERAL GOOSEBUMPS KATY PERRY QUEEN OF FIREWORKS.”

 

Apart from Katy Perry, many stars like John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Tim McGraw, Jon Bon Jovi, Tom Hanks, and so many more performed at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration. Jennifer Lopez performed the iconic “This Land Is Your Land” at the ceremony. During the performance, she also briefly delivered a portion of the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish, as well as yelling out “Let’s get loud,” a reference to her hit single. Lady Gaga was also amongst the performers as she delivered “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the historic ceremony today.
