Quentin Tarantino, whose recent directorial Once Upon A Time In Hollywood has made its way to multiple nominations this award season, has a piece of good news for all Kill Bill fans. The filmmaker recently hinted at the possibility of a third Kill Bill film. During his appearance on Andy Cohen Live: Tarantino was asked if Kill Bill 3 is something that could still happen, and the director revealed that he has an idea about taking the franchise further and that the movie is “definitely in the cards”.

The director mentioned that he is working hard on the concept of the film as he wants to get it just right. He does not want to settle for anything less after the success of the first two films. And while he has started developing the idea, the film might not enter the pipeline for another two-three years. “The Bride has fought long and hard. Now I have an idea that actually could be interesting - I wouldn't do it for a little bit though... It would be like at least three years from now or something like that. But look, it is definitely in the cards,” he told Andy Cohen.

When asked about his directorial future after the recent release of his ninth film, Tarantino asserted that the next Kill Bill film will be his next movie project. However, that is not all he is working on these days. Before he completely dives into developing the film, the filmmaker will be working on a stage play and a limited TV series, post which he will return to the silver screen and focus all his attention on the third Kill Bill movie.

Kill Bill: Volume 1 hit the movie theatres in 2003 and the Second Volume was released in 2004. Both the films were well received by the audience, who have since been waiting to see Uma Thurman, lead actor of the films, back in action.
