Kristen Stewart is all set to return as a crime fighting superhero this time around. The Twilight star has left fans intrigued with her newest avatar and charming looks in the reboot of Charlie's Angels which is slated to release next week. In a latest interview with V Magazine, the actress revealed that much like her on-screen persona, she never had it easy while connecting with others as a youngster. Kristen, who plays Sabina Wilson in her latest box office outing, revealed the similarities between her character and actual self.

Speaking to V magazine, Kristen said, "You think (my character's) a hard-ass, but she actually just doesn’t quite know how to (connect), My younger self could’ve related to that immensely. I know how to hide, and not be in the center of things. But now I feel like I have this very solid, modest ‘square-one’ in my life—this foundation."

Kristen added that she keeps her friends and family close and also tries her best to open up to new people. "I know how to treat people and, you know, that sometimes takes a long time. Like, even just knowing how to really be open with the people in your life, or having them as close to me as possible ... That is really important."

In the interview, Kristen also revealed that director Elizabeth Banks cast her after witnessing her "energy" on the dance floor at a party. The actress revealed that it all began when she met Banks at the Venice Film Festival a few years ago. Stewart explained, "I was with Nicholas Hoult, who's a raucous good time, so we were, you know… dancing. Not my default setting, as you know. So she saw me at a moment where I'd run out of dancing steam. You know when you're dancing, and suddenly you think, 'What am I doing?' I had just stepped out of my body — that perspective of being glaringly self-conscious."

The actress revealed that Banks noticed this and just told her "chill" and "just have fun" even though the two had never met. Since then Kristen and Banks have been fans of each other.

Charlie's Angels hit the theatres on 15 November, 2019 and also stars Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska.
