There is some bad news for Disney from India. It seems like The Lion King has leaked online. The Disney live-action movie released in cinemas today. While we have booked our tickets to watch the visual splendour on the big screen, it seems like piracy sites are here to dampen the experience. The Jon Favreau directorial has been hit by piracy in India. The Lion King is reportedly leaked online by the notorious piracy site, Tamilrockers. It is shocking that the movie has already hit the internet within few hours of its release.

The Lion King released in India in four languages. The original English version, which released in the US, occupies most of the screen counts. However, the movie has been dubbed in three regional languages: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It appears that The Lion King's English and Hindi versions have leaked online. This could impact the box office collections of the movie.

This isn't the first time a Hollywood movie has been hit by piracy. A few weeks ago, Spider-Man: Far From Home starring Tom Holland in the lead was also leaked online. Several Bollywood movies too have been leaked online over the past few months. The Indian entertainment industry is trying its best to curb piracy.

Meanwhile, The Lion King has released amidst mixed reviews. With a total of 230 reviews, The Lion King holds a score of 56 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has been deemed rotten on the platform. Meanwhile, Pinkvilla gave the movie a three-star rating. Regardless of the reviews, The Lion King is expected to beat the opening box office collections of Spider-Man: Far From Home in India. The Lion King is expected to collect Rs 13 to 15 crores on its first day.

The Lion King features Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver, James Earl Jones and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter voicing the iconic characters. The Hindi version features Shah Rukh Khan as the Mufasa whereas Aryan Khan as Simba.
