American author Louisa May Alcott's Little Women will be coming to life on the big screen this December. Sony Pictures dropped the newest posters featuring Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan among others. And since the film's announcement, netizens have been awaiting the hotly-anticipated movie. And now, instead of upping the curiosity quotient, the brand new posters have left fans super disappointed. While the posters look extremely dreamy, the overall aesthetic has left many unimpressed. To say the least, the posters have failed to capture the full spirit of Louisa May Alcott's original story set in the 19th century.

Many fans took to Twitter to point out how actress Emma Watson's poster looked basically straight out of a rom-com movie. Not just Emma's look, but others like Timothée, Florence Pugh and Eliza Scanlen's posters did little justice to the actual story written by Alcott. One user wrote, "the little women graphic design intern after making a 2000s rom com style poster thinking everyone would like it ." Some even pointed out how a male actor was at the centre of one of the poster when the film was all about women.
