After the release of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home relied heavily on the after-effects of the war against Thanos, which led to the sacrifice of Iron Man. Just like Endgame, Far From Home turned out to be a blockbuster and successfully crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box-office. Many assumed that everything was smooth sailing for Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), but then came the news of fallout in an agreement between Disney and Sony, which lasted for weeks.

But, in some amazing news, the two production houses were finally able to work things out and Peter Parker will still remain in the MCU. One Avengers: Endgame castmate who is extremely excited for Tom is Mark Ruffalo who told Entertainment Tonight, "I think it's amazing. He's a great guy, he's a great actor, and yeah. I had a good feeling that they would work it out." The 51-year-old actor added, "It's good for them, and I was sad that it would even... I just can't even imagine, after what we've all done together, like, how you would separate them."

We're relieved to know that Spidey will remain intact in the MCU, especially given the shocker of an ending that was the mid-credits sequence of Far From Home!

Earlier, when Tom had shared his excitement on Instagram of bringing Spider-Man back to the MCU, Mark had commented, "Back in a snap! Had a feeling we would see you again."

To see more of Tom as Spider-Man, we will have to wait for some time as Spider-Man 3, which will be helmed by Far From Home and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) director Jon Watts, is slated to release on July 16, 2021.

On the other hand, Mark will be seen in Todd Haynes' directorial Dark Waters, opposite Anne Hathaway, which is slated to release on November 22, 2019.
