After the marvelous success of Joker that went on to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, the film is in the headlines again! But this time because of film-maker Martin Scorsese, who is on a never-ending war with the Marvel movies and is comparing them to theme parks. In fact, recently, Martin Scorsese was quoted as saying that he passed on the hit controversial flick of DC, Joker because the main lead turns into a comic character that he doesn’t like.

Martin Scorsese made news for his comments on the blockbuster franchise of comic universe. Many fans are outraged by his statements. Talking about Joker, the Irishman director was not involved in the film with Todd Philips. Scorsese said in an interview with the BBC that, "Ultimately, I don't know if I can take the next step, which is this character developing into a comic book character." Scorsese added, "It develops into an abstraction. That doesn't mean it's bad art, it could be, but it's not for me. I thought about it a lot over the last four years. I decided I didn't have the time for it."

Scorsese then talked about his views about superhero movies and no wonder he still thinks the same about them. He said, “Superhero films are, like I said, another art form, they're not easy to make, there's a lot of very talented people doing good work and a lot of young people enjoy them, but I do think it's more of an extension of an amusement park.”
