While Sony Pictures and Walt Disney's deal caught everyone's attention, Warner Bros decided to drop some unexpected news. After speculations that another Matrix movie is in the making, WB announced that Matrix 4 is officially coming our way. The production house has not only confirmed speculations but also added a cherry on the icing by revealing that internet's boyfriend Keanu Reeves will be reprising his role for the fourth Matrix movie. And he won't be alone. He will be joined by Carrie-Anne Moss. Together, they will bring Neo and Trinity back on the big screen.

Variety reports that WB Pictures confirmed that they are "re-entering" the Matrix world with the OG Matrix writer-director Lana Wachowski is penning the script and directing the new movie. “We could not be more excited to be re-entering ‘The Matrix’ with Lana. Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in ‘The Matrix’ universe," Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich revealed.

Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell have joined Wachowski in writing the script. The international outlet reports that the filming could start in the first half of 2020.

While this is some exciting news, fans have a mixed reaction to the news. While some are excited over Matrix's return, others referred to Spider-Man's exit from MCU and requested that they want the superhero to return to the MCU instead of another Matrix movie. Check out the reactions below:
