Idris Elba refuses to believe that Heimdall has died in Avengers: Infinity War. He confessed he is open to returning in Disney +'s series Loki.
When Heimdall and Loki died at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, our hearts came to our throats. We refused to believe that Thanos killed both the Asgardians within 15 minutes of the movie's beginning. While Loki made a comeback in Avengers: Endgame and escaped into an alternative universe during the Avengers' time heist, there has been no word on Heimdall. We have made peace with the fact that the former guard of Asgard's Bifrost Bridge has died, Idris Elba refuses to have laid his character to rest.
Speaking with ABC Radio, the Hobbs & Shaw actor revealed that he feels Heimdall is still alive. He confessed his belief when he was asked about the Loki series on Disney +. The actor not only said he felt that the Norse god is alive but he also admitted that he is open to reprising the role in the Disney series if need be.
“Listen, Heimdall is essentially part of the god family. So you know, he essentially could be alive. I’m just saying! I’m just putting it out there! The Heimdall character goes way back into, you know, the Thor mythology…And I’m sure there will be an interesting way to bring that alive. Of course I would. Yes," he said. Is Elba hinting that he will return for Loki? Could we also see him in Thor: Love and Thunder? What do you think? Let us know your theories in the comments section below.
Meanwhile, Elba admitted he hasn't watched Avengers: Endgame yet. "I know, I know. I have no life," he laughed, with no excuse to give. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
