Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting a lot of flak as their baby Archie's christening ceremony which was held on July 6 was a private affair. The ceremony was so private that they didn't even announce the godparents of Archie. But now, as per Express UK, the royal couple has been going private as they want to keep their newborn out of the public eye as much as they can. A source told the publication, “With the exception of his time in the forces Harry has lived his entire life in the goldfish bowl of public scrutiny. And, although he recognises his duty, he is fiercely determined to protect his newborn from the glare of public opinion which he has had to bear – which became especially oppressive when he lost his mother Diana."

The source shared how Harry and William went through a lot and they were scrutinized all the time post their mother's death and he hated about the same. He doesn't want Archie to go through that and Meghan also agrees with him. The royal insider added,"Harry knew he would get it in the neck for not inviting the cameras in but he put Archie first – what father wouldn’t? And those people having a go at him should step off an consider for a second what they would do if it was their kid."

For the unversed, post the ceremony, the official handle of the couple posted two photos and captioned the same as, "This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment."

The family portrayed featured Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Cornwall, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince of Wales, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, the Duke of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.
