Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did NOT ban neighbours from seeing Archie or issue any other rules
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been private about their life since the birth of Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have chosen to keep many things about Archie private. From not revealing details about his godparents to choosing to keep the royal's christening private, Meghan and Harry want to keep Archie away from the spotlight. However, royal fans were in for a shock when a report claimed that the former actress and the prince have set some rules restricting the neighbours residing beside the royal's Frogmore Cottage.
The Sun reported that the royals handed the neighbours a list of dos and don'ts that featured some unbelievable rules. This included that they were not allowed to ask the Duke and Duchess about baby Archie, they shouldn't "say 'Good Morning' or some other pleasantry if they speak to you," and more such bizarre restrictions. However, the Buckingham Palace has issued a clarification that Meghan and Harry were unaware of these restrictions.
The statement, published by Hello! Magazine, reads, "The Duke and Duchess didn't request this, didn't know about it, and had nothing to do with the content or guidance offered." The Sun reported the Buckingham Palace said these requests came from an "overly protective palace official," sans Harry and Meghan's knowledge.
The list of restrictions included, "Don't approach or instigate conversation if you see the Royal couple, Do say 'Good Morning' or some other pleasantry if they speak to you, Don't pet or stroke their dogs, even if they come over to you, Don't offer to walk their dogs, Don't ask to see baby Archie or offer to babysit, and Don't post anything through the letterbox of Frogmore Cottage."
