Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy reprised the iconic X-Men characters, Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto and Professor X aka Charles Xavier in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. With this installment, X-Men may have reached its 19-year franchise end, as Fox and Disney have now merged. X-Men may very well be excluded for the time being or even become a part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). However, the negative response to X-Men: Dark Phoenix, is inching more into the former category of being kept aside.

In an interview with Esquire, Michael and James were asked if they would be up for starring in MCU's version of X-Men if given the opportunity. James countered with a question on whether the script provided will be good. When the interviewers said that, yes, they think it would be a good script, James quipped that he doesn't believe them. "How can you know that?" McAvoy quizzed. "I guess what James is trying to say… there's just so many variables there. None of it, none of it in our control. So really pointless for us to think about it. You know?" Michael added while making some telepathic gestures.

Absolutely. They have great chemistry between them and both are just perfect for the roles of Professor X and Magneto. In fact, they would suit even perfect if they do some other movies together also.

Yes absolutely i would love to see James and Michael in the MCU version of X-Men.I think no other actor would be able to play Professor Xavier and Magneto better than these two.
