There is a huge buzz around the upcoming reboot of Mortal Kombat because Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is going to produce this one. The reboot is again on everyone’s lips as it has been revealed by the podcast Bloody Disgusting that the writer of this film Greg Russo has disclosed the news of vampire Nitara’s arrival in the reboot. He also revealed that it is going to be played by aerialist and stuntwoman Elissa Cadwell.

Elissa has previously worked as a stuntwoman in Dora and the Lost City of Gold, The Shallows and DC’s gigantic Aquaman. This is going to be her first acting role. Talking about Nitara’s character then she is one of the most powerful and popular characters of Mortal Kombat’s world. However, despite being a vampire, she is not an evil character and holds a morally neutral character instead.

Talking about the other members of the cast, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade and Josh Lawson as Kano will be seen in the film. Now, the inclusion of Nitara has sparked anticipation among Mortal Kombat fans. The reboot is scheduled to hit theatres on March 05, 2021.
